Northgate Free Methodist Church

The following groups will continue to meet through the summer months. Summer may be a great time for you to look for a group and experience group life, with the idea that in the fall you may want to either continue with it, or use the experience to motivate you to seek connection with another group.
In any case, we believe group life to be part of the DNA of Northgate and are pleased to be able to offer these summer group options and opportunities that include something for just about every age group.

Care Team
Meets Quarterly (as announced)
The Northgate Care Team visits, makes phone calls, sends emails, cards and notes of encouragement. We can also help you reach out to your neighbors, and family members. If you are interested in joining the Care team or are in need of services, please email Karen VanWyngaarden at

Caregivers Connection
2nd Tuesdays, 7:00PM
Susan Wakefield leads this group of wonderful people who provide ongoing care for a loved one. If you are a caregiver, you know that no matter how rewarding it is to care for a loved one, at times you may become frustrated, discouraged or feel burn-out. This is normal. Please join us if you would like to meet with and share coping skills and encouragement with other caregivers. If you would like to attend, please call: 585-768-7540.

Celebrate Recovery
Thursdays, 6:15-9:00PM
Celebrate Recovery meets EVERY Thursday evening (including any and all holidays that fall on a Thursday)

Pastor Dave Odachowski and the CR TEAM lead those of us who are gaining joy and freedom in Christ as we apply the 12-Steps of Celebrate Recovery to the hurts, habits and hang-ups we all struggle with. All are welcome! We believe anyone and everyone would benefit by attending this group, where we take off our masks and allow God to transform our lives through his word, and by being able to share openly and honestly about our struggles with people we come to trust, who will maintain confidentiality, and who will not judge us.
